'Torn' is a pop ballad, originally by US alt rock band Ednaswap from their self-titled debut album. Written and produced by band members Scott Cutler and Anne Preven with Phil Thornalley, the song has been covered several times with the most well known version recorded by Australian popstar Natalie Imbruglia in 1997. Imbruglia's version of the song was an international hit, topping the charts in Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Spain and Sweden! In addition it reached number two in the singer's home country as well as in the UK.

The following year Almighty's own singing sensation Natalie Browne released her cover, complete with dance floor-ready Definitive and Fired Up mixes from the Almighty production team. A club hit at home as well as abroad, the song was hugely popular in the USA where Imbruglia's own version had yet to be released as a CD single! Back in the UK 'Torn' was Natalie Browne's biggest seller for Almighty during a peak time for the label. During Gay Pride that year you could walk into the Oxford Street HMV to be confronted by a whole wall of Almighty music, with well over 40 titles represented on vinyl and CD!

This reload single brings together the original mixes as well as the Anthem mix from 2005's compilation 'Justified - The Best Of Natalie Browne'. There's even some more up to date 2014 mixes from the one and only Matt Pop, who brings back this timeless track with his signature upbeat disco sound!
