'If Looks Could Kill' was the 1985 hit from disco-pop queen Pamala Stanley, which featured on her second album, an Almighty favourite, 'Coming Out Of Hiding: The Sequel'. Hitting the top 20 in the disco charts, this single proved popular not only in the disco, but also the rock scenes of the 80s, with American rockers Heart coming up with an aggressive, hard rock version in 1986.
Pamala Stanley's unparalleled voice shines through in 'If Looks Could Kill', encompassing everything from the most intimate whisper to the soaring 'bel canto' that has become her trademark. The single did so well in fact, that it also featured in the 1986 Arnold Schwarzenegger action film Raw Deal.
Following the success of 'If Looks Could Kill', Pamala then stormed Las Vegas with her sensational voice and irrepressible style and formed the widely popular Pamala Stanley Band - the hottest New Orleans boogie band in Southern Florida with its blues, jazz and boogie style!
As Almighty has always been one of Pamala Stanley's biggest fans, the boys have been hard at work in the studio and are thrilled to have come up with four incredible mixes of such a timeless disco classic - hoping to bring disco back in a big way for 2012!
