First released in 1996 as ALMY 81. 'Hypnotic Tango' was the 'B' side to the original 'A' side of 'It's My Life' by Bianca Fernandez.

When we first did this track everybody thought we were mad, as it was so obscure. However after a while people began to appreciate the the happy go lucky sentiment and sweet chorus. 'Hypnotic Tango' became an Almighty classic in its own right. Nearly ten years later the song has been re-recorded a number of times by different artists.

Here we have the Bianca Fernandez version updated with new mixes for today's market. The orginal mix still sounds fantastic having been mixed in Mike Stock's SSL studio at PWL, thanks to Pete Waterman who allowed us to use this facility at that time.

Currently Banarama look like they may have a hit on their hands having re- written the verses and retained the chorus. In the music business this is often done to negotiate a share of the lucrative publishing. Should a song become a hit this can be far more profitable than the physical product.
